It was once the capital city in Southern Song Dynasty, Today, it not only has incredible natural views, it is also one of the electronic business centers of China and home to e-commerce giant Alibaba. Its rich human cultural relics and fertile land make it outstanding in China along with its rich West Lake (Xi Hu), silk, and tea cultures. A must see destination just one hour from Shanghai by high-speed train.

Highlights of this tour include:

Hi-speed Train

You'll relax on a high-speed train ride at speeds of over 300 kph to your destination. Along the way you'll see urban melt into suburban and then rural areas, back to suburban and urban until you arrive.

West Lake

Renowned for its beauty, in the 14th century, Marco Polo, the famous traveler and business man named this area as "Venice on the Earth" with temples, pagodas, gardens and islands.

West Lake boat ride

You will take a boat ride on the lake to an island to see Fish and Flower Harbor. This boat ride is 30 minutes long and you will feel you are riding in heaven, surrounding by many islets.

Lingyin Temple

The most influential Buddhist temple in China along with various pagodas and other cultural sites. The most rich and very solemn.

Meijiawu green tea village

The most famous imperial green tea. You will not only learn the history about the Dragon Well Green Tea, but you will also taste it and learn how to make your tea

Enduring Memories of Hangzhou

If you'd like to make your trip to Hangzhou truly spectacular, we recommend staying a little longer and watching this special performance - Enduring Memories of Hangzhou. The show is led by famous director Zhang Yimou. The name of the show is quoted from a very famous poem written by Bai Juyi (772 - 846), a great poet and politician from the Tang Dynasty. Dancers perform to magical music with beautifully lit backgrounds on the shallow water of West Lake. The performance is all on a floating platform, so that it seems like dancers are dancing on the surface of the lake. The show is absolutely a must-see in Hangzhou and a great addition to your tour.
